This week, the primary group of migrants intercepted in Italian waters arrived in Albania as a part of Rome’s controversial scheme to course of asylum seekers exterior the EU. The migrants might be held in pre-repatriation detention centres, often known as CPRs. Such centres, that are managed by non-public firms, have existed in Italy for a number of years and are severely criticised by human rights defenders, who say migrants there are mistreated.
