Planned strikes on the London Underground have been suspended following talks over pay between the Aslef union and Transport for London (TfL).

Industrial motion was resulting from start on Thursday and a walkout was additionally deliberate for subsequent Tuesday.

Aslef mentioned it had been given a “significantly improved” pay provide by London Underground administration and it will focus on that supply with union members on Thursday.

Claire Mann, from TfL, mentioned: “We believe we have made an offer to our trade unions that is fair, affordable, good for our colleagues and good for London and we urge our trade unions to continue working with us.”

Finn Brennan, from Aslef, mentioned the union was “pleased” strike motion had been averted right now.

He mentioned he was unable to disclose any additional particulars till after Thursday’s assembly.
