The Russian authorities are afraid of phrases and symbols. That’s why there have been many brutal verdicts, many unusual legal guidelines and lots of complicated tales in recent times.
A younger lady from Nizhny Novgorod, for instance, needed to spend 5 days in detention as a result of she wore earrings with a rainbow-colored frog in a restaurant. Employees of Department E, which is meant to fight extremism within the secret service, noticed it as a logo of the “international LGBT movement.” Although this doesn’t exist, it’s labeled as extremist in Russia and is due to this fact banned.
