ÖVP, SPÖ and Neos: Negotiations a couple of “sugar coalition” | EUROtoday

Negotiations on a so-called sugar coalition at the moment are starting in Austria. The title comes from the candy-colored social gathering logos of ÖVP (turquoise), SPÖ (purple) and Neos (pink). Its chairmen Karl Nehammer, Andreas Babler and Beate Meinl-Reisinger introduced on Monday after weeks of exploratory talks that they wished to enter into coalition negotiations with one another. Nehammer has thus far been Chancellor of a turquoise-green authorities, which has not had a majority for the reason that election in September. Nehammer mentioned on Monday that they had been striving for an “alliance of reason and the political center”.
