A former mayoral candidate in Florida who’s reportedly a part of a spiritual group has been arrested and charged with the homicide of one other member in Tennessee, based on jail information.

Adam Arthur Rosenthal, 39, is charged with legal murder, aggravated assault and tampering with proof in connection to the loss of life of Darren Gambrel.

Gambrel’s physique was discovered Tuesday afternoon on property in Pulaski, a city about 75 miles south of Nashville, and Rosenthal was named a suspect, based on the Pulaski Citizen.

The discovery of the physique prompted the execution of two search warrants on the jap fringe of the Pulaski metropolis limits, which is owned by native communal non secular group, The Twelve Tribes.

Giles County Sheriff Joe Purvis believes the sufferer had been a member of the non secular group for a number of years and believes that Rosenthal has been affiliated with the group for probably six to 9 months, the Pulaski Citizen reported.

A motive for the alleged homicide has not been launched.

Rosenthal, who ran for Gainesville mayor in 2022, was reported lacking on June 18, Gainesville Police Department spokesman Brandon Hatzel instructed the Mainstreet Daily News.

According to Missing People In America’s web site, Rosenthal was final seen in April on the Space Bar close to Cypress & Grove Brewing Co. in Gainesville, which is now closed.

With the assistance of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, the Giles County Sheriff’s Office continues to research Gambrel’s loss of life as a murder.

Rosenthal is within the Giles County Jail. He is scheduled to be again in court docket on December 10.
