A current shootout over drug trafficking in France that degenerated into a large combat between rival gangs, involving a whole bunch of individuals, prompted authorities to match the French state to Mexico – the land of drug cartels. For Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau, France’s drug drawback is “at a tipping point”. But this isn’t simply taking place in France. The EU’s regulation enforcement company Europol says that a number of member states are experiencing unprecedented ranges of drug-related violence.
