She drew Trump’s ire all through the 2024 marketing campaign, supporting Vice President Kamala Harris’ in the end unsuccessful bid for the White House whereas lambasting Trump’s function inciting his supporters in hopes of overturning the 2020 presidential race.

Trump advised “Meet the Press” in an interview that aired Sunday he believes lawmakers who participated on the choose committee ought to be jailed, claiming to host Kristen Welker they dedicated a “major crime.”

The president-elect went on to assert the choose committee had “deleted and destroyed evidence” of their investigation, which is fake. Cheney stated Sunday that Trump was mendacity concerning the panel’s work.

“Here is the truth: Donald Trump attempted to overturn the 2020 presidential election and seize power,” she stated in a press release. “He mobilized an angry mob and sent them to the United States Capitol, where they attacked police officers, invaded the building and halted the official counting of electoral votes. Trump watched on television as police officers were brutally beaten and the Capitol was assaulted, refusing for hours to tell the mob to leave.”
