Sniffer canine searched Syria’s Saydnaya jail following experiences that there have been prisoners trapped in underground cells, footage posted on social media on Monday (9 December) exhibits.
The Syrian White Helmets rescue group confirmed to the Independent that there was nobody left contained in the jail.
Farouq Habib, the group deputy basic supervisor, stated: “We made contact with former regime officers who labored on the jail and researched the whole lot. There aren’t any hidden cells within the jail. There has been plenty of rumors and misinformation, however nothing there.
It got here after dictator Bashar al-Assad’s regime was toppled in a insurgent offensive in a single day on Sunday.
