Traffic on three main motorways is going through delays this morning after the M66 was closed.

A police incident on the northbound carriageway has introduced visitors to a halt, with queues additionally affecting the M60 and M62 in consequence.

The M66 closure is in place in Greater Manchester from junctions 4 (M62) and three (Pilsworth).
