The PKK chief is serving a life sentence and has been in jail since 1999
A delegation from the principle Turkish pro-Kurdish celebration Dem (Party of Peoples’ Equality and Democracy), the third most represented power in Parliament, will at this time go to PKK chief Abdullah Ocalan, who’s serving a life sentence in jail on the Imrali island, south of Istanbul, after being convicted in 1999. This was reported by a celebration supply. “The delegation left in the morning,” stated the supply, with out specifying how they’d journey to the island for safety causes. This can be the celebration’s first go to in virtually 10 years. Dem’s predecessor, the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP), final met Ocalan in April 2015.
