M6 site visitors: Collision on main motorway sparks large two-hour delays | UK | News | EUROtoday
Motorists travelling on the M6 on the night of January 10 have been hit by a sequence of site visitors woes.
The closure attributable to a collision of two out of three lanes between the J15 Hanchurch Interchange (Stoke-on-Trent, Newcastle-under-Lyme A500) and J16 Bartomley Interchange (Stoke-on-Trent, Crewe, Nantwich, Chester A500) sparked extreme delays on Friday afternoon.
Despite the lanes re-opening at roughly 5.10pm, site visitors remained closely congested in the course of the late afternoon, with delays of two hours northbound, National Highways stated on the time. Congestion started to clear multiple hour after the reopening of the lanes, the organisation stated.
The M6 in Staffordshire additionally had one lane closed northbound between J6 (Birmingham A38, Aston Expressway) and J7 (Great Barr A34).
