Nancy Mace Erupts At Democrat On Panel, Asks To ‘Take It Outside’ | EUROtoday
Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) requested a Democratic colleague if she needed to take an argument “outside” in a heated change on Tuesday.
During a House Oversight Committee listening to Tuesday afternoon, Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) requested her colleagues to reinstate a subcommittee on civil rights and civil liberties. Republicans disbanded the panel, which targeted on voting rights and prison justice reform, in 2023, after the GOP received management of the House.
Mace responded to the proposal by saying Republicans shouldn’t take “advice from a group of people who can’t define what a woman is.”
Crockett later referenced these remarks with a pointed assault on Mace and her marketing campaign to ban a transgender colleague from utilizing public restrooms within the Capitol, in addition to her assist of anti-trans laws.
“Somebody’s campaign coffers really are struggling right now, so she’s gonna keep saying ‘trans, trans, trans’, so that people will feel threatened,” Crockett mentioned. “And child, listen—”
“I am no child, do not call me a child,” Mace mentioned, leaping in. “Don’t even start, I am a grown woman.”
Crockett and Mace repeatedly interrupted each other. In recordings of the listening to, amid the crosstalk, Mace will be heard saying, “If you want to take it outside, we can do that.”
The pair continued the spat on social media. Crockett known as Mace an “attention seeking loser who clearly has some fundraising goals to hit… and to be clear that is the only thing that she will hit…”

Mace went on to make clear her remarks, saying she hadn’t meant to threaten bodily hurt and had merely been asking to “take the conversation off the floor to have a more constructive” one.
“I will not be bullied into submission, I will not be called names by my colleagues like I was today, I will not be belittled, or invalidated ― especially as a rape survivor,” Mace wrote. “I will always stand up for women and push back against left-wing extremism that seeks to silence our voices and dismiss our rights.”
