Yesterday marked the eightieth anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz on Holocaust Memorial Day.

And now a brand new World War 2 documentary a couple of survivor referred to as The Jewish Nazi? has arrived on streaming.

The movie follows the brave true story of a Jewish little one who escaped the Holocaust disguised because the Nazi’s youngest soldier.

According to the synopsis: “This film tells the staggering story of Melbourne’s Alex Kurzem, a young boy who escaped the massacre of his family’s shtetl in Belarus in 1941.

“He survived in the woods during one of the coldest winters on record, only to be captured by a Latvian battalion.”

The synopsis continues: “Instead of killing him, they took pity on him and gave him a brand new title, adorned him with a uniform and a gun, and made him their little one mascot, ‘Hitler’s youngest soldier.’ Building on the worldwide bestselling guide ‘The Mascot’ and an award-winning ABC documentary, the movie goes above and past, tracing Alex’s journey to Australia along with his adopted Latvian household, and his eventual life within the Melbourne suburb of Altona.

Alex lived to 88 and died in 2022 of COVID-19 at dwelling in Australia.

The Jewish Nazi? is streaming till February 25, 2025 on NOW.
