PlayStation Network (PSN) customers have been hit by a multi-hour outage that started on Friday (February 7).

Sony’s PSN standing web page signifies that account administration, gaming and social, PlayStation Video, PlayStation Store, and the PlayStation Direct web site are all presently dealing with points.

Sony has acknowledged that avid gamers might battle to launch video games, apps, or community options and has promised to rectify the issues “as soon as possible.”

The problem was publicised when the official @AskPlaystation account posted on X: “We are aware some users might be currently experiencing issues with PSN.” It directed these affected to its PlayStation Network Service Status web page.

The outage has prompted many avid gamers to counsel one factor – switching to an Xbox. One consumer urged others: “Time to get an Xbox,” whereas one other concurred that “Xbox was superior”. A 3rd added: “Don’t see this happening to Xbox.”

Another said: “This is why I encourage everyone I know to get an Xbox over a PlayStation. And I still have my PS2 which is a classic. But parties are now free on Xbox. All you need to do is just get a subscription to gamepass core or ultimate and you’re golden.”
