Fox Business co-host Dagen McDowell tore into the Trump administration this week for ignoring her community’s requests at a time when many viewers are looking for clarification on the financial system as fears of a recession rise.

On Wednesday’s installment of “The Big Money Show,” McDowell provided a fiery rebuke of Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and different officers, who she claims haven’t responded to her inquiries in current weeks.

“Some of the people in communications at the White House, in the Treasury, will not respond to the show trying to just book anybody to talk about this economy,” she stated. “They won’t even answer the show, but Scott Bessent goes on one of the lowest rated shows on another network.”

McDowell was seemingly alluding to Bessent’s March 2 look on CBS News’ “Face the Nation,” and instructed the secretary “could open the window and shout out of the window in New York City” and attain extra viewers.

The journalist went on to notice: “If they want to communicate with the American people … the people who work for these Treasury Secretaries need to answer a text message. It’s shameful.”

McDowell’s remarks come amid a turbulent week on the inventory market, triggered partially by authorities layoffs, spending freezes, and President Donald Trump’s imposed tariffs on aluminum and metal imports. Trump, in the meantime, has declined to rule out the likelihood that his insurance policies might set off a recession, noting: “There is a period of transition, because what we’re doing is very big.”
