Riots broke out on the campus of Ankara’s Middle East Technical University as college students protested in opposition to the detention of Istanbul mayor Ekrem Imamoglu. Thousands have been protesting in main Turkish cities for a second night time in a row as Imamoglu, President Erdogan’s foremost political rival, known as for judges to take a stand in opposition to the Turkish authorities’s misuse of the courts.
