The airport is anticipated to stay closed till at the very least midnight tonight after experiencing a serious energy outage following a hearth at a Hayes electrical substation.

Passengers have been requested to not journey to the airport “under any circumstances”, whereas British Airways mentioned it might not be working flights out of its international hub “until further notice”.
