An Ossau Iraty Raw Sheep’s Milk Cheese from the Basque Country has been named France’s Best Cheese within the World Cheese Awards.

Organized by the Guild of Fine Food, the Competition is the World’s Large Cheese-Only Event of its Kind with 4,786 cheesses from 47 Countries in Competition. France Won Eight Super Gold Medals, 18 Gold, 30 Silver and 40 Bronze.

The Winning Pdo Ossau Iraty is created from Animal Rennet and Matured for Three to Six Months by Family-Owned Company Agour, Which Has Been Making Cheese within the Pyrenees honest 1981.
