A person has been arrested on suspicion of homicide after a four-year-old lady and two adults died in a fireplace at a historic former station home in Rushton, Northamptonshire, on Friday evening (March 28).

Northamptonshire Police confirmed the arrest throughout an replace Sunday (March 30) after the lady, a 30-year-old lady, and a 23-year-old man died on the property.

The 54-year-old man from Kettering was arrested on Saturday and stays in police custody.

“It will take time to fully establish what has happened on behalf of the families involved,” Chief Inspector Paul Cash said, urging respect for the households’ privateness.

The victims’ households have been knowledgeable and are being supported by specifically skilled officers.
