The 11-year-girl who went lacking after she entered the River Thames on Monday has been pictured. London’s Metropolitan Police had been alerted on Monday at 1.23pm after Kaliyah Coa entered the water close to Barge House Causeway, in east London.

The London Ambulance Service, London Fire Brigade, the RNLI and the Coastguard have been trying to find the lacking schoolgirl over the previous few days. A police assertion stated on Tuesday night that officers at the moment are main a restoration mission alongside the Thames to seek out Kaliyah. Chief Superintendent Dan Card, native policing commander for north east London, stated: “Our specialist officers are supporting Kaliyah’s family through this deeply upsetting time and our thoughts go out to all those impacted by what has happened.

“We are committed to finding Kaliyah and are working with partners to conduct a thorough search over a wide area – utilising drone technology and boats.

“I’d like to thank the members of public, our first responding officers, and colleagues from other emergency services, as they responded rapidly to carry out a large-scale search during a highly pressurised and distressing time.

“Equally we appreciate this has affected the wider community who have been extremely supportive. You will see extra officers in the area during the coming days – if you have any concerns then please speak to them.”

Local residents stated they’d heard shouts and screams and different youngsters who had been taking part in had stated a lady had disappeared within the water they usually couldn’t discover her.

Kerry Benadjaoud, 62, instructed the PA information company she had taken a life ring right down to the water however couldn’t see the woman.

Barge House Causeway is a concrete slope that goes instantly into the River Thames and is used to move boats.

Residents identified that it seemed to be lined in moss and is slippery.
