Game of Thrones followers despair over Winds of Winter after George RR Martin publish | Books | Entertainment | EUROtoday
It’s been 14 years since George RR Martin final revealed a novel in his A Song of Ice and Fire TV collection.
Since then, the Game of Thrones TV collection has come and gone, with showrunners having to depend on the creator’s structure for the ultimate yet-to-be-published two novels.
Six years on from the present’s conclusion and the 76-year-old remains to be writing penultimate guide The Winds of Winter, which he says will probably be a very massive one.
In the meantime, followers eagerly await every new weblog publish by the creator, the newest of which charts a visit to the UK final summer time.
Amid the prolonged learn, there was a line that caught everybody’s consideration and precipitated despair over The Winds of Winter’s launch date.
Martin talked about: “Very nice review from the website WINTER IF COMING.”
The creator was referring to the Game of Thrones fan web site Winter Is Coming, which he seems to have modified to “if” in self-deprecation (and even doubt) that The Winds of Winter will ever be revealed. On the ASOIAF Reddit, followers shared their dismay: “I haven’t slept in 20 hours, and when my eyes saw the bolded WINTER IS COMING, I had hope for a second.”
Another wrote: “Lol he’s sarcastic, he literally wrote ‘Winter IF Coming’.” One commented: “So bleak that it took him till April to write a blog post on a trip he took 8 months ago.” And one lamented: “WINTER IF COMING, now the man is doubting himself.”
