Armed police are looking an “aggressive” XL Bully which is on the free after they’d earlier tried to shoot it. The search comes 4 days after South Yorkshire Police shot and killed two canine in Sheffield, Yorkshire, together with an XL Bully after they escaped from a backyard and allegedly attacked a horse.

In the most recent incident, the XL canine went lacking after officers searched the property of a person linked to 2 incidents the place gunshots have been heard in Sheffield. Inside the property police discovered two canine together with an XL Bully which they seized and are at present in police kennels, however the third escaped after officers shot at it. The animal is believed to be on the free in Walkley, Sheffield. Both Daniel Hill Street and Rivelin Road within the metropolis have been cordoned off by South Yorkshire Police.

A person, aged 37, has been arrested on suspicion of tried homicide.

A spokesperson from South Yorkshire Police mentioned: “We’re asking for the public to be vigilant for an XL Bully that could be loose in our communities, or for anyone with information about where it may be being kept to come forward and assist us with our investigation.

“The canine grew to become free within the Hillfoot space of Sheffield final night time, following a firearms discharge.

“Armed officers attended [Daniel Hill Street last night] and upon their entry to the property, an XL Bully became aggressive.

“Officers fired a shot in the direction of the canine and it fled the scene – it’s unknown if the canine was injured.”
