Walthamstow college LIVE: St Mary’s Church of England evacuated over ‘risk’ in London | UK | News | EUROtoday
A nursery in a college in Walthamstow, London, has been evacuated after “receiving a threat” in a “concerning email.” St Mary’s Church of England has instructed workers and kids to go away whereas police are on the scene to analyze. While it’s the Easter Holidays, the nursery remained open for childcare functions.
The college mentioned: “We are working closely with the police and following their advice and guidance to ensure the safety of our children and staff. At this stage, they have classed the threat as credible. Therefore, we have currently closed the nursery this morning and we will provide further updates as we receive them.” Stella Creasy, Labour & Co-op MP for Walthamstow, mentioned this was not the one college affected and confused that extra info can be shared when it turned accessible.
