Since the beginning of the warfare in Ukraine’s japanese Donbas area in 2014, the Russian-installed regime there has been arbitrarily detaining civilians on an enormous scale. Journalists, activists, native politicians: nearly anybody the occupation authorities take a dislike to is at risk of being taken prisoner and tortured.
