A tsunami alarm was launched in Chile following a powerful earthquake of magnitude 7.5 on the Richter scale. The Tsunami alert was issued after a violent earthquake in Puerto Williams, off the Chilean coast. According to the nationwide seismological middle, the earthquake was recorded at 9 within the morning.

The Center initially indicated a magnitude of seven.5. The hydrographic and oceanographic service of the Chilean Navy (Shoa) issued the alert after the earthquake was recorded 218 kilometers south of Puerto Williams, within the Magellan area.
