Multiple loud explosions have been heard within the Pakistani Kashmir space near the town of Muzaffarabad within the early hours of Wednesday, 7 May.
Indian armed forces launched “Operation Sindoor,” hitting 9 websites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the federal government stated in a press release.
A Pakistan navy spokesperson instructed broadcaster ARY that India had attacked Pakistan with missiles in three locations and that Pakistan would reply.
It comes amid heightened tensions between the nuclear-armed neighbours following an assault on Hindu vacationers in Indian Kashmir final month.
