After the demise of Margot Friedländer, Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier acknowledged the deserves of the Holocaust survivors for reconciliation and their dedication to misanthropy. “She gave our country reconciliation – despite everything the Germans had done to her as a young person. We cannot be grateful enough for this gift,” stated Steinmeier.

Friedländer died on Friday on the age of 103. “Margot of Friedländer Legacy is a reminder and obligation to us, especially at a time when democracy is being contested and anti -Semitism is undisguised again, it remains our responsibility to never let the Jewish community down in our country,” stated the Federal President.
