Website Downdetector, which tracks issues reported by customers, noticed an enormous spike in complaints at roughly 4:30 p.m. ET, peaking at 32,000 points by 4:45 p.m.

Of these experiences, 79 % stated it was an issue with the app, whereas one other 19 % reported server connection points.
