On the event of World Day towards Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia, the town of Paris inaugurated a memorial on Saturday in tribute to the gay victims of the deportation and the LGBT+ victims “through history”. Between 5,000 and 15,000 individuals have been deported to Europe by the Nazi regime in the course of the Second World War due to their homosexuality.
