The nationalist candidate George Simion, defeated on Sunday within the second spherical of the presidential elections in Romania, introduced his intention to attraction to cancel the elections because of “external interference”, specifically by France. “I officially ask the Constitutional Court to cancel the elections”, he wrote on X. “For the same reasons” that led to the cancellation of the November vote: “External interference”, he added, in a message accompanied by the flags of France and Moldova.
