On October 29, 2024, flash floods in Spain’s japanese Valencia area claimed 228 lives. More than six months later, residents are nonetheless struggling to rebuild. Beyond the financial toll, many say they can not transfer on till accountability is addressed. Victims argue that lives misplaced – in vehicles, basements, and on the streets – might have been saved if regional authorities had issued well timed and enough warnings.
