Three kids and lady die in home hearth in north London as man arrested | EUROtoday
Police have arrested a person after a lady, a 15-year-old lady and two boys aged eight and 4 had been killed in a home hearth.
The Metropolitan Police had been referred to as to help the London Fire Brigade (LFB) after a blaze broke out at a house in Brent, north west London, within the early hours of the morning.
Eight hearth engines and 70 firefighters had been deployed to battle the flames, which left two three-floor terraced homes severely broken.
Firefighters used respiratory equipment to drag a lady and a baby from the second flooring, however they had been sadly declared deceased on the scene. Two extra kids had been found contained in the property.
Police later confirmed 4 folks – a 43-year-old lady, and the three kids – died within the hearth in Tillett Close, Stonebridge. Their next-of-kin have been knowledgeable.

An additional 4 folks escaped earlier than hearth crews arrived. They had been all assessed by the London Ambulance Service and a lady in her 70s and a teenage lady had been taken to hospital for additional therapy.
A 41-year-old man was arrested on the scene in reference to the incident and stays in custody.

LFB’s assistant commissioner Keeley Foster mentioned: “This is an extremely tragic incident, and the thoughts of everyone across the Brigade are with those impacted by this incident.
“Upon arrival, firefighters were met with a well-developed fire, involving two adjoining properties. Crews immediately set to work carrying out firefighting operations in order to bring the incident under control.
“Sadly, a woman and three children have died as a result of this fire. Crews wearing breathing apparatus were able to rescue the woman and one of the children from the second floor, but they were later declared deceased at the scene. A further two children were discovered to have died in the fire, as crews carried out a search of the properties involved.
“Our specialist Fire Investigation Unit are working closely with colleagues from the Metropolitan Police Service to now determine the cause of this fire. We are working closely with our partners to support the community at this very sad time.”

Mayor of London Sir Sadiq Khan mentioned his “thoughts are with the family, friends and wider community of the four people who sadly have lost their lives”.
“I remain in close contact with the London Fire Brigade and Metropolitan Police as they work to establish the cause of the fire and offer support to all those impacted,” he added.
Dawn Butler, the native Labour MP for Brent East mentioned she was “devastated” following the deadly hearth in her constituency.
“My prayers are with the family and friends affected by this is a very sad tragedy,” she added in a post on X. “LFB-Brent worked hard to get it under control, thank you.”

Superintendent Steve Allen, from the Met’s native policing workforce in north-west London, mentioned: “This is an extremely tragic incident and our thoughts are with everyone involved.
“Officers arrested a person on the scene and we proceed to work alongside investigators from the London Fire Brigade to determine the reason for the fireplace. Emergency companies will stay in Tillett Close all through the day as these enquiries happen.”
