CNN’s Abby Phillip had the politest of comebacks ― with greater than a delicate serving of shade ― after President Donald Trump lashed out at her in a livid Truth Social rant.

Trump took purpose at Phillip on Friday following her crediting of a current inventory market surge to the president’s backing down on his proposed tariffs.

The president unleashed a characteristically unfiltered tirade, simply one in all a number of he’s directed at personalities on the community in current days.

“Where does CNN get its ‘talent?’” Trump fumed. “Just watched someone named Abby Phillip lecture her audience on Tariffs and the economy (which is doing record business!). She has absolutely no idea what she is talking about, strictly 3rd rate. Fortunately, the audience has long ago left CNN, and it will only get WORSE. LOSERS ALL!!!”

Phillip responded with a pointedly well mannered publish on X (previously Twitter), writing merely: “Thank you for watching Mr. President.”

The understated response rapidly went viral.
