MAGA Lawmaker Proposes ‘Permanent’ Tribute To Charlie Kirk In U.S. Capitol | EUROtoday

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) and a bunch of fellow MAGA lawmakers need a everlasting tribute to assassinated right-wing activist Charlie Kirk in Washington.

In a letter printed on-line Thursday, Luna known as on House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) to “direct that a statue of Charlie Kirk be placed in the United States Capitol.”

“This is not a symbolic gesture, but a permanent testament to his life’s work, his courage, and his sacrifice,” she wrote. “It will stand as a reminder that political disagreement must never be answered with violence, and that the fight for truth must carry on.”

Also within the letter, Luna acknowledged duty for Kirk’s loss of life “rests with the perpetrator” ― who at the moment stays at giant ― however stated Americans “must confront the broader cultural intolerance that enabled such a tragedy.”

She then contradictorily added: “Hateful rhetoric from the Left has created a toxic environment where one side finds it acceptable to stoke fear and violence to silence civil dissent. We must be clear: They are the hate they claim to fight. Their words caused this. Their hate caused this.”

Captioning the letter, Luna stated she owed her “entire political career to Charlie Kirk.”

“I would quite literally not be in office today if it weren’t for him,” she stated. “Even when my own party was working against me, Charlie endorsed me and campaigned to help me win election.”

Republican Reps. Andy Ogles (Tenn.), Lauren Boebert (Colo.) and Andy Biggs (Ariz.) had been amongst these to co-sign the letter.
