The late evening present was suspended final week after Kimmel’s feedback about Charlie Kirk’s alleged killer angered conservatives and spurred threats from the Federal Communications Commission.

Jennings, a political pundit who labored in President George W. Bush’s White House, frequently ticks off left-leaning CNN viewers together with his takes defending President Donald Trump and his administration.

The FBI declined to touch upon the scenario. CNN and a consultant for Olbermann didn’t instantly reply to a HuffPost request for remark.
