Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze mentioned that as much as 7,000 folks attended a rally on Saturday, in a failed “attempt to overthrow the constitutional order” which he alleged was supported by the European Union. Kobakhidze vowed opposition arrests on Sunday, including that they “will no longer be allowed to be active in Georgian politics”.
