Trump Admits ‘We’re Just Going To Kill People’ Smuggling Drugs Into America | EUROtoday
Donald Trump on Thursday brushed apart any criticism of his administration’s lethal strikes on alleged drug-trafficking vessels as he bluntly admitted: “I think we’re just going to kill people.”
Trump has in current days vowed to proceed the assaults on boats believed to be smuggling narcotics into the U.S. and has even urged the strikes might increase to land targets. Some 9 strikes have been carried out on boats within the Caribbean Sea and the jap Pacific Ocean. At least 37 individuals have died. Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) has slammed the assaults as “summary execution.”
Trump instructed reporters on Thursday that the White House will quickly temporary Congress on the operations. He urged most lawmakers would help the actions “except for the radical left lunatics.”
He trashed the necessity for a proper declaration of battle from Congress.
“Well, I don’t think we’re going to necessarily ask for a declaration of war,” he admitted to a reporter, including, “I think we’re just going to kill people that are bringing drugs into our country. OK? We’re going to kill them, you know, they’re going to be, like, dead. OK.”
Critics had been outraged by the comment:
