Air visitors at Brussels Zaventem airport was interrupted this night, simply earlier than 8pm, for security causes, after a drone was reported in its airspace, confirms air visitors controller Skeyes. This was reported by the web site of the Belgian newspaper ‘Le Soir’.

“Shortly before 8pm, a drone was reported over the territory of the airport, said Kurt Verwilligen, spokesman for Skeyes. “For security causes, all air visitors was quickly suspended,” he added. Several planes bound for Zaventem had to be diverted, in particular to Liège airport.
