Christelle Petex, MP (LR) and departmental councilor, resigns from her two mandates | EUROtoday
It is thru a press launch revealed on her Facebook account, Thursday November 6, that Christelle Petex, deputy (Les Républicains) of the threee constituency of Haute-Savoie and departmental councilor, proclaims his resignation from his two mandates.
“Wishing more than anything to keep my values, I inform you of my resignation from the mandates of departmental advisor and [de] MP »she underlines, in an open letter sent to the press. “I’ve been off work for a few months following too much, too much of everything”explains the 45-year-old elected official, evoking with out additional particulars a “too much criticism, attacks, attempts at dissuasion, threats”. Asked concerning the nature of those threats by Agence France-Presse (AFP), the entourage of the now ex-parliamentarian didn’t want to remark.
“Too much political politics”
“Perhaps we could summarize by saying that there is too much political politics that surrounds me, sickens me, exhausts me. Where is the human, the citizen in all this? »adds Mme Petex, who has been a departmental elected official since 2015 and a deputy since 2021. Saying “convinced that policy could be fair, effective, scalable”she prefers to finish her dedication as a result of “strength is for [elle] to see that no”.
Member of the Committee on Sustainable Development and Regional Planning within the Assembly, Mme Petex had gathered 56.19% of the votes, underneath the assorted proper label, when it was re-elected through the early legislative elections of July 2024, forward of the Ciottist candidate Antoine Valentin, supported by Reconquête! and by the National Rally. New partial elections to exchange her within the two assemblies are deliberate inside three months, in line with her entourage to AFP.
