Two hikers from Lower Franconia have been rescued by a helicopter from an ungainly scenario on a snow-covered mountain in Austria. The 23-year-old and the person of the identical age from the Aschaffenburg district have been taken to Maurach am Achensee with slight hypothermia, because the Tyrol State Police Department introduced.

The hikers have been on their method to the so-called Bärenbadalm with mates on Saturday. While their mates completed the tour there, the 2 23-year-olds climbed in direction of Bärenkopf. However, their progress was very sluggish as a result of snow and tough route discovering.

According to the police, they turned afraid whereas crossing a steep slope and not dared to go any additional. The hikers made an emergency name. Finally, as darkness fell, each have been rescued at an altitude of round 1,880 meters at minus 14 levels utilizing the helicopter’s winch.
