Several skiers and snowboarders had been buried in an avalanche on the Stubai Glacier within the Austrian Alps on Thursday morning (27 November), in line with native media.
An enormous search and rescue operation involving 250 individuals, rescue canines and helicopters. Nine individuals had been rescued alive, in line with the Austria Press Agency (APA).
Three injured skiers had been airlifted to a hospital after being rescued in Tyrol, Austria, in line with APA.
The avalanche in a hazardous space outdoors the protected ski runs.
As of noon, it was not identified whether or not extra individuals had been buried underneath the snow.
