President Donald Trump has been on a tear the previous two weeks with vicious assaults on the individuals who get below his pores and skin most: journalists.
While Trump has lengthy had a fraught relationship with the press, his affronts these days have skewed extremely private and degrading towards feminine journalists, for whom he recurrently reserves his most below-the-belt insults.
His Wednesday morning screed took goal at New York Times reporter Katie Rogers, considered one of two journalists who labored on a Tuesday story in regards to the president’s well being, getting old and decreased public appearances. Trump slammed her as “ugly.”
“Katie Rogers, who is assigned to write only bad things about me, is a third rate reporter who is ugly, both inside and out,” Trump wrote in his 300-plus-word rant on Truth Social.

The newest assault was coming off the heels of Trump telling Bloomberg reporter Catherine Lucey, a veteran White House correspondent, to cease asking him questions on Jeffrey Epstein with two outrageous phrases heard around the world: “Quiet, piggy.” Trump wagged his finger at Lucey as he spoke whereas different journalists on Air Force One seemed on.
Even White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt struggled to place a spin on that one, telling reporters final week that at the very least Trump is “frank and open and honest to your faces rather than hiding behind your backs.”
Trump lashed out at ABC News’ Mary Bruce final week, too, when she requested him how he might reconcile having Saudi Arabia’s crown prince, Mohammed bin Salman, sit down with him within the Oval Office regardless that his personal intelligence brokers discovered that the prince had ordered the violent killing of a Washington Post columnist in Istanbul in 2018.
“You don’t have to embarrass our guest by asking a question like that,” Trump scolded Bruce as he sat alongside Mohammed. He later referred to as her questioning “horrible, insubordinate” and “terrible.”
Trump escalated his rhetoric towards Bruce when she requested why he wouldn’t launch the Epstein information on his personal.
“It’s not the question that I mind; it’s your attitude,” Trump fired at Bruce.
“I think you are a terrible reporter. It’s the way you ask these questions,” he stated, including, “You’re a terrible person and a terrible reporter.”
