Children injured as faculty bus roof ripped off after hitting bridge | EUROtoday
A lot of youngsters had been injured after a college bus struck a bridge, ripping its roof off.
The bus hit the bridge on Spendmore Lane in Coppull, Lancashire simply after 12.30pm on Wednesday, in response to Lancashire Police. Emergency providers attended and the highway was closed for round three hours.
Passengers had been taken off the bus and spherical 30 youngsters had been assessed by medical workers. Eight had been handled by paramedics for minor accidents.
A North West Ambulance Service spokesperson mentioned an eight-year-old boy with was taken to hospital with a head damage.
The driver and two lecturers who had been additionally on board had been unharmed. The highway was reopened at round 4pm.

A Lancashire Police spokesperson informed The Independent: “We were called at just after 12.30pm to a report that a school bus had struck a bridge on Spendmore Lane, Coppull.
“Emergency services attended and all those on board were taken safely off the bus. Around 30 children were assessed by medical staff and eight were treated by paramedics for minor injuries.
“One child, an eight-year-old boy, was taken to hospital with a nasty cut to the head. The driver and two teachers who were also on board were unhurt.
“The road was closed for around three hours while we dealt with the incident and for recovery of the bus, a double decker.
“It is now reopened. We would like to thank everyone for their cooperation and support while we dealt with this incident which thankfully did not result in more serious injury.”
