French naval infantry fired final night time at drones flying over the Ile Longue naval base in Brittany, which hosts French nuclear submarines. The AFP studies it.

Five drones, the gendarmerie defined, flew over the submarine base of Ile Longue (Finistere) yesterday night round 7.30pm, which borders the port of Brest and which hosts the nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarines (SSBN), one of many cornerstones of French nuclear deterrence. An anti-drone search operation was due to this fact launched and the marine infantry battalion, chargeable for defending the bottom, fired a number of photographs on the plane.

Contacted by AFP, the Atlantic Maritime Prefecture and the Public Prosecutor’s Office had no feedback.

Unidentified drones have been noticed in a number of European nations for months. In Belgium, drones flying over airports led to the blocking of flights.

Last September 9, between 19 and 23 Russian drones violated Polish airspace, resulting in the response of the Polish Air Force and the air forces of different NATO nations, which shot down among the plane.
