Thousands of drivers may have dashing fines cancelled after a fault noticed some cameras falsely triggered on English A roads and motorways.

National Highways mentioned it had discovered 2,650 wrongful pace digicam activations since 2021 resulting from a delay between cameras and variable pace indicators.
