As the 2026 municipal elections strategy, two interactive instruments supplied by the Democratize Politics (DLP) collective are put on-line on Tuesday, December 16, to serve two targets. The first is a “mapping of representation”: it exhibits voters that their present municipal councils don’t resemble them, no less than not socially. The second is a “social parity test”, meant to encourage events to evaluation the composition of their lists to be able to give candidates from the center and dealing lessons, city and rural, an actual likelihood of being elected.

By coming into the title of your municipality (and the district for big cities), you receive, with the primary instrument, the social composition of your native illustration. The second makes it potential to measure the social representativeness of the candidate lists in 2026 (so long as they’re recognized).

Born after the 2022 legislative elections, this collective is made up of some 70 folks, dedicated residents and researchers, native elected officers and parliamentarians (primarily from left-wing events), affiliation leaders and commerce unionists, together with the sociologists Marwan Mohammed (social and concrete inequalities, racism, discrimination), Kevin Vacher (widespread schooling) and Benoît Coquard (working lessons in rural areas), the farmer and founding father of Emmaüs Roya (Alpes-Maritimes) Cédric Herrou, the president of the Not Without Us coordination Mohamed Mechmache, the senator Les Ecologistes du Val-de-Marne Akli Mellouli, the MEP La France insoumise Leïla Chaibi, the socialist deputy for Eure Philippe Brun…
