After an eventful journey, the “Secu” price range reached a decisive stage on Tuesday, December 16, with the ultimate vote of the National Assembly. The deputies adopted, on third studying, the Social Security financing invoice (PLFSS) for 2026 by 247 votes for, 232 towards and 90 abstentions.

Here are the main points of the group votes:

• The textual content was authorized by nearly all of deputies from the Ensemble (macronists), MoDem (centrists), Socialist Party (PS, average left) teams and the Liberties, Independents, Overseas and Territories group (LIOT, independents).

• It was broadly rejected by elected officers from La France Insoumise (LFI, radical left), the Democratic and Republican Left group (GDR, communists and associated), the Union of Rights for the Republic (UDR, far proper) and the National Rally (RN, far proper).

• Horizons (center-right) elected officers principally abstained (25), even when 9 voted for.

• The Environmentalists have been divided between votes for (2), votes towards (9) and abstention (27).

• The Les Républicains group was divided between votes for (18), votes towards (3) and abstention (28).

This result’s largely according to the second vote of deputies, Tuesday December 9, throughout which the textual content was authorized by 247 votes for, 234 towards and 93 abstentions. Only variations:

• Environmentalist Dominique Voynet went from voting for to abstaining;

• The socialist Roger Vicot went from abstention to voting for;

• Related communist elected officers Frédéric Maillot, Davy Rimane and Marcellin Nadeau, who had abstained, didn’t take part on this new vote;

• The “rebellious” Rodrigo Arenas and Loïc Prud’homme wished to vote towards, as within the earlier vote, however this vote was not recorded as a result of a technical malfunction.
