Two Spirit Airlines workers had been charged with theft after a passenger left behind her $500 Louis Vuitton wristlet.

Olukunle Idowu, a 49-year-old Spirit Airlines supervisor, and one other airline worker, Hyacinth Linton, 56, had been charged with petit theft. The Miami Herald first reported the alleged theft.

The incident occurred at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport on October 19 when a passenger, about to board her Spirit Airlines flight to Austin, Texas, left behind her Louis Vuitton wristlet — which the sufferer valued at $505 — on the counter on the airport gate. The wristlet was given to Spirit workers working on the gate.

Surveillance footage captured Idowu discovering the wristlet three days later inside a drawer, “took possession of it,” and regarded inside it, courtroom data say.

Idowu then discarded the plastic bag within the trash, in keeping with the affidavit.

Idowu was arrested on November 21 and has pleaded not responsible to a cost of petit theft valued at greater than $100 and fewer than $750. Spirit Airlines advised the Miami Herald in an announcement that one worker has been suspended and the opposite is on a depart of absence.
