Storm Goretti set to batter Europe with heavy wind, rain and snow | EUROtoday

Several areas accross Europe will likely be buffeted by extreme climate starting from “exceptionally strong winds” to snow and freezing temperatures with the arrival of Storm Goretti on Thursday. The UK, France and Germany will bear the brunt of the storm, with Britain’s Met Office issuing a “rare” purple wind warning for the Isles of Scilly and Cornwall in southwestern England.
