Former New York Post Editor Scorches Outlet Over Its Coverage Of ICE Shooting Victim | EUROtoday

A former New York Post editor had harsh phrases for his earlier outlet’s characterization of the Minneapolis lady shot and killed by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent Wednesday.

David Yelland, who served as a deputy editor on the Post within the Nineteen Nineties, blasted the publication for describing Renee Nicole Good as a “‘Warrior’ of the Left” on its entrance web page Friday.

“Today’s New York Post is a disgrace. I speak as a former deputy editor of that paper,” he wrote on X.

In a follow-up publish, Yelland urged employees at retailers owned by media mogul Rupert Murdoch, together with the New York Post, to push again in opposition to such dismissive protection.

“What are serving Murdoch editors going to do about the lies and prejudice being told (and repeated by some of their colleagues) around this murder? Stand by and just go to the bars tonight and forget it?” he wrote. “Or grow some balls.”

Yelland, who later served as an editor on the U.Okay. outlet The Sun earlier than shifting on to a profession in public relations, went on to criticize different mainstream publications for his or her “both sides”-ing of Good’s loss of life.

“I’ve never been angrier with my old newspaper peers than today. They lie about the murder of a mother,” he wrote. “Why? What is the matter with them?”
